The festivities of Onam marked the initiation of community events organized by the Kerala Cultural Forum (KCF). Starting on August 12, KCF conducted a series of successful competitions, including Caroms, Chess, and Kerala Cultural Forum, Christchurch, Incorporated Rummy. These events not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for community members to come together, fostering cultural exchange and camaraderie. The Kerala Cultural Forum played a significant role in orchestrating these events, contributing to their success and making the celebrations memorable for all participants.
KCF formed in 2011 with the purpose of bringing together Indians of Kerala origin living in Christchurch , New Zealand to maintain the rich heritage and to provide their children an opportunity to get a glimpse of our culture.
